Obama comes "home"

I thought his home was Mecca.

I am extremely enthusiastic about Obama's run for the Presidency. It has been a long time since a candidate with such eloquent and electrifying persona has been on the run for President. I am also, a proud Kansan, because the next President (Obama) is Kansas Grandchild. So, go Obama, my homeboy :) .

Obama is a good candidate for the times. He appeals to young voters, who have felt largely disenfranchised from a "good ol' boys" political system. He offers hope that there IS justice in America for the racially disenfranchised. He speaks to those qualities that unite us as Americans, rather than to those that divide us. After two terms of the worst presidency in history, just about any candidate from either party may be an improvement, but my vote's going to Obama (who is, by the way, a lifelong Christian).

Thank you for clearing that up, Webranger. The kind of vitriol that "Bootenany" is spreading represents the worst of our country: xenophobia, ignorance, and fear. I have come to believe that Barack Obama represents what is best about it. If he can break through other's cynicism as he has mine, he might actually have a shot.

A lifelong Christian, huh? Actually that is one of the questions he has never addressed--the age at which he supposedly became a Christian.

It is small minded fear mongering folks such as yourself that damage real chance for change. Even if he was a muslim, SO WHAT? Next you will be posting messages about how the "Jews run the media and the world". I just checked, it is 2008. The biggest surprise to me is that you are actually using a computer - aren't you afraid all of the "hackers" on "the internets" will get into your computer and find out all your secrets?

Haven't you had enough of fear and lies? I don't care who you vote for, but to perpetuate lies and hatred is such a narrow way to spend your time on this earth. You know what they say about opinions ... and that's fine, but to spew such uninformed, ignorant remarks only makes you seem sad and pathetic and invalidates any opinion your audience might otherwise consider. Look in your soul and ask why you hate someone or something you've never bothered to seriously educate yourself about.

The interview might go something like this:

Interviewer "So you have 172 days experience as a Junior executive. (I'm giving him the benefit of doubt with the title). Let me see if I under stand; You are applying for Chief Executive Officer?"

Ombam "Well I may be short of experience, but I can learn.
