From Talking Points Memo:
The new national poll from Public Policy Polling (D) has an astonishing number about paranoia among the GOP base: Republicans do not think President Obama actually won the 2008 election -- instead, ACORN stole it.

What are you whining about now Wussy? Someone step on your "tu-tu"?
...they better stop whining and start showing leadership.
Its incredible the Republican Senators have not produced an alternative health care reform option.
The House Repubs at least did that. True it was a half-assed, notionless piece of garbage presented by Roy Blunt (which explains it being half-assed and notionless) but it was an option.
The Republicans whine about the economic policies of Obama, but for the most part these directions started under Bush and his fairy godmother of the treasury Paulsen. So how about an alternative direction, folks? Stop whining and give us a plan we can use.
Otherwise, you deserved to lose then and you'll deserve to lose in the future...
Cause I'd rather have an employee (Congress/President) who tries and fails than one who sits in the corner and pees in their pants and then cries "foul".
We disagree on a lot of issues; however, I hope your frustration with the Republicans as the party of "no" is shared by a lot of people.

Could it be that American Democracy is slowly slipping away?
Well Steve, I don't recall you calling the Democrats paranoid who claimed that Bush stole the election from Gore, as every credible post-election analysis has shown that Gore, with his selctive recount, was the attempted thief. Oh but those never made it into the KC Star.
And as for ACORN - it is a criminal organization and the fact that the President was one of its fomer corporate counsels does not sit well with me.
And although I think Obama won in 2008 on the votes, he was helped immeasurably by the boot licking & ass kissing left-wing media establishment that refused to vet him or expose his record of non-achievement, left wingnut beliefs, and the endless sting of sophmoric platitudes that comprised his speechs.
John Bar
those credible post-election analysis
Or does just throwing up a factoid count ?
Iraq has WMDs!!
Sadaam attacked us on 9-11!!
The Democrats can't win elections!!
They're going to kill Grandma!!
Abortions will be mandatory!!
The government can't manage health care!!
ROFLMAO
How are any of those sophOmoric platitudes workin' for ya?
Start with the Supreme Court's Opinion, most people have never bothered to read it, it recounts what happended in fact-supported detail. Second, read the media's after action review after they conducted their own vote recount - remember when all the lefties were sure the media would show Gore actually won, but had to walk away with their heads hung low, when even the media establishment quietly agreed Bush won. Last, Judge R. Posner's book which lays it all out in entertaining detail.
As for platitudes I see you guys use the usual lefty approach: can't respond to the issue so change the subject, create a strawman to attack, or just attack something else, usually Bush.
Here's a short list, factual detail is hard to set out in this cramped space, especially on something as complex as health care. (have you read the House bill, I have, still waiting for the Senate version):
It will be income neutral- the OMB study was based on assumptions not part of the current bill and on 10 years of taxes and only 4 years of spending.
$500 million will be cut from medicare- oh yeah how? where? why has it not been done yet? Is the government just going to pay less?
Seniors won't pay more- how if Medicare Avantage is being eliminated so AARP can rake in the much higher charges from its own insurance plans
Everyone can keep their coverage- Since the government plans to pay much les than cost for medical sevices, the providers will switch the loss to the privately insured, whose costs will go way up, and their employers, no longer able to pay, will dump them inot the public option.
Mandating people to get coverge is OK, its just like car insurance: No its not. States have general police power and can force any citizen to do anything (e.g., Massachusett's compelled coverage) as long as it does not violate the state or US Constitutions. The Federal government has limited power and cannot force people to buy a private product.
This plan does not grapple with the basic structural flaws in our heealth care system, it just rearranges the deck chairs on the financial Titanic.
no chance using truth and accuracy with someone as pathetic as lib soc. Just read and laugh, panda is another good one for being pathetic and funny.
Who exactly said that??
As someone who worked hard for the Obama campaign and did not cheat, I take this as a grave insult.
Republicans say a lot of things
It doesn't mean they are true or that they need to be repeated.
In this case, blaming ACORN is just one more ridiculous way GOPers avoid taking responsibility for nominating craptacular candidates and driving the country off the cliff.
The "Party of Personal Responsibility" is always the victim. It's never their fault. Ever.
