Worried about Kansas City's emergency plans for tornados, floods, and other disasters?

The Mid-America Regional Council and the city of Kansas City will hold a public listening session tonight (Tuesday, Nov. 17) at the WWI Museum at Liberty Memorial to talk about the city's emergency preparedness plans.

The plans have undergone some revisions since Hurricane Katrina in 2005.  While KC is not likely to face a mass evacuation event, there are smaller neighborhood and regional concerns that the public can discuss.  (Ice storm, anyone?)

It starts at 6:30 p.m. and ends at 8:00 p.m.
