The list of needs for Kansas Democrats is growing.

Still lacking front-tier candidates for governor and U.S. Senate next year, the party just learned it needs to come up with a new name for U.S. attorney.

Lawrence lawyer Dan Watkins recently took his name out of consideration for the post.

Watkins said he would prefer not to change jobs now, adding that he enjoys what he's doing.

Watkins was long expected to become the next U.S. attorney, and no other names have surfaced.
