UPDATE:  Missouri records do not show any other donation by Julia Kauffman to any member of the city council or candidate for the city council, at least based on a search of the state database.

She did donate at least $11,300 to Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder, who was and is a member of the Missouri Development Finance Board, which awarded the PAC $25 million in state tax credits.

Julia I. Kauffman -- chief promoter and sponsor of the under-construction Performing Arts Center -- has just donated $10,000 to Mayor Mark Funkhouser's campaign committee.

The donation was made July 1, a new filing shows.

The donation came just days after the city council approved a $55 million bond issue to build a parking garage for the Arts Center.  Funkhouser, however, did not cast a vote on the bond issue.  He was absent.

Some of the donation is likely to find its way into Funkhouser's pocket.  The committee's first quarter report showed Funkhouser loaned his own campaign $1,000 -- leaving it with a balance of just $849.71.

The Kauffman donation may enable Funkhouser to repay the loan to his own committee.
