The climate bill passed by the House last week now goes to the Senate, where capping greenhouse emissions could face a rougher ride.
Its fate could depend upon a group of about 15 moderate Democrats who have generally staked out a middle ground on President Obama’s domestic agenda.
One of them, Missouri Sen. Claire McCaskill, said on Twitter over the weekend: “I hope we can fix cap and trade so it doesn't unfairly punish businesses and families in coal dependent states like Missouri.”
The hoax is the cr*ppy "science" of the deniers of global change.

Apparently Claire is okay with punishing businesses and families in Missouri so long as it is done fairly.

What is the perfect climate, and when has Earth *ever* had a perfect climate?
How about we reduce the coal dust and other pollutants our kids are inhaling? Where is the party of family values on children's health?
If our coal industry dies, they can cry on the shoulders of the asbestos manufacturers.
This highlights the problem with the Global Warming crowd. Less polution should be and has always been a goal and pretty much everyone will support a measured and logical approach to reduce polution. Most of what is out there is fear mongering and economically ignorant. To support the power needs of the country coal plants are required and can be developed with a very small polution output. Since our current power gid supports an on demand model the extremely inefficient (solar) and the bird killers (wind) are not vable options.
Currently the cleanist (realative to it's power output) and most efficient power is nuclear but the fear mongers have made this form politically unviable. I have no doubt that science is on the verge of a breakthrough in technology, we just are not quite there yet. Let's wait until the car is complete before we try to drive it, tires (traction) helps.
She wants to vote yes, but not at political cost to her. Her goal is to mollify the green left without taking any position until the last possible moment.
Therefore, she announced for unknown "fixes" that will make the bill "better." From here, she will try to disappear until the issue goes away, or somebody patches up the bad politics of HARMING MISSOURI FAMILIES, JOBS, AND BUSINESSES FOR NO REASON.
I've never seen Congress advance a more harmful, stupider, nor more outrageous bill. I've been watching since before yesterday.

Cap and trade represents huge taxes and cost increases, which will hurt mostly the poor and the middle class, while further empowering Obama and enriching his accomplices (Gore, Soros, Goldman Sachs, Obama's Chicago Climate Exchange friends, GE, the United Nations, etc.) -- all at our expense and at the expense of our children and grandchildren.
We'll make sure to remember who voted in favor of the abomination that is cap and trade. They'll have to answer to us for killing our businesses, taking away our jobs, and helping Obama enslave us with his Ponzy scheme.
