Liberals who think pro-lifers support the murder of Tiller make me sick. Pro-Life and Consistent-Life-Ethic includes a rejection of St. Bernard's "Malecide for Christ". Consistent-Life-Ethic reminds us of St. Paul's "Our battle is not carnal" and "Vengence is Mine (God's) sayeth the Lord". Killer though he was (Tiller), it was the Lord's priviledge (and not man's) to carry out Judgement (in the sense of punishment. Also Justin Martyr's "A Christian cannot bear to see someone killed - even if they are killed justly."

The only hate in Mike Hendricks column is hate directed at the language of the pro-life movement that lead to this tragedy.

When the "pro-life movement" stops using language that motivates murdering doctors, then there will be less hate.

Some people are pure evil. I personally have never had an abortion. I fully support reproductive rights. The top one being fail safe contraceptives. We can and should reduce the number of unplanned and unwanted pregnancies. Period. Abortions are legal and should remain so in our nation. No one has any right, moral or civic, to wreck vengeance on anyone. No one. That murderous man had no legal right to slay Tiller.

Hendricks & Obama are eerily silent.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – A Muslim man accused of killing a soldier in a "political and religious" attack on a military recruiting center in Arkansas has pleaded not guilty to a capital murder charge. Abdulhakim (ahb-DOOL hah-KEEM) Muhammad was ordered held without bail at a hearing Tuesday in Little Rock.

He is charged in Monday's death of 23-year-old William Long outside an Army-Navy Career Center in Little Rock. A prosecutor said Muhammad admitted shooting Long and another soldier "because of what they had done to Muslims in the past."

Long and soldier Quinton Ezeagwula had recently completed basic training and had never seen combat....

I wonder if more guns could have prevented this death. Arkansas has a concealed carry law, doesn't it?

The difference is Scott Roeder had a long history of anti-abortion and anti-government activism. He was arrested with bomb making materials in his car in 1997. He has a long history of association with fellow violent anti-abortion kooks.

There's a whole organization of people who foster and support nutcases like Scott Roeder.

On the other hand, the guy in Arkansas was a random nutjob. There's no evidence of any "anti-war" conspiracy backing him.

The murderer of Tiller could justify his killing because he heard commentators on TV referring to Tiller as "Tiller the Killer" and a mass murderer.

Both killed another human being, but the murderer of Tiller can cite major commentators and even minor people like you to justify what he did. Who can the murderer of the soldier cite?

My view is that murder is murder and outrage should be equal. Am I wrong?

One more thing though, if we take the alleged soldiers murderer and the alleged Tiller murderer and turn them loose, who has a better chance of being hunted down with no stone unturned and likely not make it back alive? The killer of soldiers or a doctor?

Now I don't agree that one murderer's life is more valuable than the other, but I suspect the killing of soldiers is like killing cops and that soldier-killer would be hunted down like a rabid dog.

It was Roeder's private decision. Nobody else's. What a man does with his own body is his personal decision. My trigger finger, my choice.

Do you really think he did this casually? That he wasn't emotionally distraught over what he had to do? How callous is it to call him a murderer?

Emotional strain may mitigate a person's culpability, but it doesn't turn the act of murder into a medical procedure. And Tiller didn't do his work because he was distraught and didn't see any way out. He did it because he was handsomely paid to.
