Vice president Joe Biden couldn't help but take a dig at his boss today when one of the teleprompter screens fell down during his commencement speech at the U.S. Air Force Academy.
"What am I gonna tell the president? I'm gonna tell him his teleprompter is broken. What will he do then?" said Biden.
The off-handed quip immediately drew laughter and some of the loudest cheers of the day from the graduates.
President Obama has long been criticized from Republicans for at times appearing over reliant on a teleprompter, even during short and informal speeches.

Zoltar: The Mechanical Man
I guess Biden’s not the only person who notices Obama’s robotic, head swiveling love affair with the teleprompter. This continuous head swiveling during Obama’s speeches reminds me of Zoltar the mechanical man. Remember the mechanical fortune teller in the 1988 Tom Hanks movie BIG? Once you realize Obama’s swiveling head is just him doing that teleprompter thing, it makes one wonder how anyone gets worked up over this contrived and highly staged approach. But then we remember rule #1 for Obama Slobber Club members: mindlessly slobber all over anything the guy says or does.
