Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius said she has no idea when the U.S. Senate will take up her confirmation as President Obama's pick to lead Health and Human Services.

After delivering a speech to a state arts organization this morning, she took a few questions from reporters. Not surprisingly, the first was when she expects to exit the Sunflower State. She doesn't plan to step down as governor until she's confirmed.

"The timetable is in the hands of the U.S. Senate," she said.

Sebelius, who returned to Kansas yesterday, said she will continue to work on Kansas issues (budget, coal plant debate) right up until she's confirmed.

"I'm not presuming anything," she said of the confirmation hearings.
