Congressman Dennis Moore And not for the U.S. Senate.
Congressman Dennis Moore, about to start his sixth term in the U.S. House, said today he already is planning a re-election campaign to his current office in 2010.
"I do intend to run again," he told Prime Buzz.
His words were aimed at stifling a wagonload of stories and speculation in recent days that the 63-year-old congressman from Lenexa was ready to hang it up.
"I saw two or three different newspapers up here that said somehow...that I wasn’t going to run again," Moore said. "I don’t know where they got that. I hadn’t told anbody I wasn’t going to run again."
He ruled out a bid for the U.S. Senate, which also has been chatted up in the blogosphere as an option. Now that Gov. Kathleen Sebelius has ruled out accepting a seat in President-elect Obama's Cabinet, she will be under enormous pressure to run for Senate, especially now that Moore has ruled it out.

Well, Dennis maybe it was wishful thinking on the ...
part of many people. Since you won't answer my letter with pleas for help, your staff won't return my phone calls and I find so many pages of campaign donations from BNSF managers and supervisors that I can't get thru them all, then, of course, I am not too excited to hear you will be running for office again in 2010 but that's the way cruddy politicians seem to stay beyond their welcome or long past when they are protecting the people's best interests and it totally amazes me when the people keep sending you back to the halls of Congress.
