Who knows - I do know another family will be struggling for years with all of the pitfalls of a divorce - the long arm of divorce extends way further than you normally realize until you go through it and experience it.

Back-water beliefs? And what might those be? And how are they "back water"?

If you mean that anyone who espouses traditional family values is back water, then what ideals would you replace them with? Are you one of those ultra-libs who think nuclear families is an out-moded idea, and that a better replacement would be simply shacking up together and letting whatever happen to the kids? Or that there is something inherently wrong with the traditional family system?

Perhaps you are one of those who feels threatened by good and decent morals and ethics, so you feel it is important to bash anything that might suggest your own standard (or lack thereof) of living is inappropriate?

It is very unfortunate for the Jenkins family, more specifically their children. However, I don't think it is right to attack her, regardless of whether or not she is of the party of "family values".

We live in a political climate where a man can get re-elected to the senate quite a few times after killing a woman (ted kennedy), a man can get re-elected to the senate days after being convicted of 7 felonies (ted stevens) and where a man can get re-elected to the House after being caught with tens of thousands of dollars in his freezer and an indictment (william jefferson). Divorce is hardly the top concern...

Ted Kennedy was clearly driving a car that went off a bridge and his passenger died. Was he negligent of some wrong doing? Yes.

However, if a person driving a car that causes an accident, then we might as well say that the present First Lady killed another person, too.

Let's stop hating and just remember that a 25 year relationship is breaking up. The tragedy is that children are also involved. America is starting to fall apart at the seams and we need to pull together to keep it together.
