Barack Obama outspent John McCain in Missouri TV ads from Sept. 6 -- the Saturday after the Republican National Convention -- through Sept. 13.

That's according to TNS Media Intelligence/CMAG with analysis by the Wisconsin Advertising Project.

Obama spent $504,000 in the state; McCain, $353,000.

The Obama buy included 503 spots in Kansas City, good for tenth among all cities studied.  McCain's top ten markets did not include any cities in Missouri.

(Our copy of the study doesn't break out all spending by city, so we don't know how much either campaign spent in St. Louis, Springfield, etc.)

Both campaigns spent about $7.8 million on commercials during the week.
