Kit Bondouri Sen. Kit Bond told reporters in a telephone conference call today two things of note:
1) Obama-Biden is the most liberal ticket in American history. His exact words: "By choosing Joe Biden, Barack Obama has solidified the title as the most liberal ticket ever to be put forward by the Democratic Party."
Obama, he said, has been rated by the National Journal as the most liberal senator and Biden the third-most liberal.
Their liberal credentials will shine most brightly when it comes to taxes, the four-term GOP senator said. Their approach will hurt small businesses and cost some workers their jobs as their employers struggle to pay the higher tax load.
"The tax and spend policies that Senator Obama and Senator Biden have supported in the past would significantly cripple our economy and bring about a change back to the Euro-socialism of the '60s and '70s that produced nothing but stagnation, not growth and opportunity.”
2) The Biden selection will have almost zero impact on McCain's thinking about who his veep should be, Bond said. In fact, he called the pick of Biden a "non-factor" in McCain's choice.
"I don't think Joe Biden presents any challenges that Senator McCain can't meet by himself."

Oh noes, it will be so awful to have libruls in the White House! People that will actually balance the budget, give tax cuts to the middle class, have a common-sense foreign policy that keeps us out of adventurism, write an energy policy that actually plans for the future, enact a health care plan to lower costs and ensure coverage, look out for the environment, and reinstate the civil liberties that the Bush administration has taken away@
