Late polls: Hulshof, Howe, McCain all post leads, Barnes making up ground on Graves

Graves is under the magic 50 percent mark? Oh dear, time to trot out that gay newspaper cover shot of Barnes.

The pollster screwed up & was calling people in the 5th Congressional Distrcit.

Graves has been hiding in DC for 8 years under the radar of voters in NWMO. Now the media and Barnes are shinning a light on him as the right wing conservative, self dealing politician that he is. He ran that sleazy ad against his opponent in June and it appears to have backfired.

You can advance vote Monday at JoCo election office on KC Road in Olathe. I believe 8-12 noon.

Of course the election is Tuesday.

Independent voters -- don't worry about not being affiliated. They HAVE to let you vote.

Sign on as a Democrat or Republican and vote. An extra form -- take 15-20 seconds to fill out. You may get a dirty look, but so what. Screw them.

Just smile and use the phrase, "let's go with Democrat this time! ...or let's go with Republican this time!"

Hey Middle, my in-laws live in Tarkio & see Sam in town at least every other weekend. He does not hide in DC like Ike Skelton, Manny Cleaver, Nancy Boyda, & Dennis Moore. Kay is not a popular person in NW MO. She comes across as being a carpet bagger. You know like Rice a Roni - A San Frnacisco treat. You will have your Dems who support her or any candidate with a D behind their name NW MO also. Jay Nixon has run statewide at least 3 times in the past 10 years. He even spent a lot of money running against Kit Bond and Nixon doesn't crack 50% running against 2 unkowns!

The SUSA survey in Graves-Barnes tells nothing either way. The sample is overloaded to male and pro-choice. The only thing you know is that it doesn't reflect the district and who votes. Otherwise, you don't know what you don't know.

When one internal factor is messy, sure, you can make an arbitrary adjustment. But what's the point? After all, you're just driving the candidate result to where you "think" it should be -- why take a poll? Why not just "say" where the race stands? When two internals are messy, you're lost.
