For the second year in a row, Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius attended a gathering of the Bilderberg Group.

But this year, the event (the first weekend of June) was in Virginia, not Istanbul.

Sebelius, along with S.C. Gov. Mark Sanford, attended the meeting to, according to Sebelius spokeswoman Nicole Corcoran, "discuss a variety of issues and mutual interests" with the privacy-loving Bilderbergians.

Bilderberg is an exclusive group of international business leaders, top politicians and academics from around the globe that meets once a year at top resorts. The group meets privately, discussions are not made public, and as a result, the group is the frequent subject of New World Order conspiracy theories.

Previous participants include Bill Clinton, Tony Blair, Donald Rumsfeld, Prince Charles, Gerald Ford, Henry Kissinger, numerous European politicians, top executives, and members of families like the Rockefellers and the Rothschilds.

A tip of the hat to the Kansas Meadowlark for getting the story first.
